Chit~Chat: Yesterday I went to the Cinema and watched this movie in 3D. It blowed me away. I saw just one more film in 3D (The forth final destination), which was nothing compared to this. The sensetion of seeing everything in 3D is amazing, and that it’s not just then when something pops out, it’s the whole time. When they walk a corridor, when they battle in the jungle or just when the little tree-seed floats down.
I saw today on another blog a little picture. It was the summary of the Pocahontas film typed, and it was corrected with handwriting, so that it resulted the Avatar movie (here). I once saw something like this with Harry Potter and Star Wars, and I disliked that one too. It’s very dumb to think that a movie is bad, because the structure of the story is the same as in another one. There is the saying: There is nothing new under the sun. And this is true for the film~fairy tales too. There is a specific number of characters and story lines. Even when you try to create a new monster, you are building him out of many other things you already saw and know.
The true value of this film lies in the fact that it’s not just entertaining, but I think it’s entertaining for all ages. The kids are entertained by the beautiful world, and the fierce battle, and the adults get even more. The story has an overwhelming emotional line. One of my teachers said, that what she loved most was the theory about the whole planet being one, the energies, the communication network.
I loved everything, the story, the world, the characters… The part which hit me the most was !!! SPOILER !!! when they bombed down the tree. I could not bare the sight of that cruelness of people, because in my heart i knew that there are some people who are so cruel and air-headed. When the company man, Parker, laughs about the natives and starts the attack, I just wondered, why don’t people always stop for an second and try to look on the other side of things too…? I loved those flower which shrunk in themselves, the little flyers which had their wings like a circle or cone, and of course the seeds of the great spirit tree.
And I love happy ends😀
